Manufacturing and Product Development In an effort to improve efficiency, Samuel Adams brewing company would like to produce yeast slurry with variance no greater than 62.5. A new delivery pump was installed, and a random sample of 10 slurry mixtures was obtained. Each mixture was measured in billion cells/ml and the sample variance was s2 = 70.1.

Is there any evidence to suggest the variance is greater than the desired value? Assume normality and use a = 0.01. Write a Solution Trail for this problem.
