Evidence-based practice is the key in improving health care and patient outcome. Nurses conduct various researches related to patient care and utilizes the scientific findings and evidences into the nursing practice (Chien 2019). In my workplace, the hospital policies are made on the basis of researches. We follow bundle care for CAUTI, CLABSI, wound care and fall prevention. When we have to perform blood transfusion, we do two nurses verification to prevent possible errors. The management teams conduct quality improvement programs quite often. I see the hospital has adopted two nurses skin assessment protocol during admission, transfer and discharge which is a result of some research.

Spiritual care is an important part of nursing and is believed to have positive effect on health and well being of an individual. If patient is treated holistically, rather than just their disease, the outcome is improved. Spiritual care helps in alleviation of patient's fear, anxiety and depression ( Rachel H. Et al., 2019). Nurses should be able to provide spiritual care to the patients and families regardless of their cultural background and religion. Most hospitals have the chaplain services which should be utilized based upon the patient's preferences. The Christian worldview says that all mankind are the children of God and serving the mankind means serving the God. Its our responsibility to do good to other human being and as a health care provider, we should give our best possible care to the patients when they are in their vulnerable situation of life. This act of service aligns with the Christian worldview.
