Consider a problem you encounter in your everyday life (at home, at work, at school, etc.). Briefly, describe the problem and then explain how the scientific method can be used to help solve the problem. Be sure to clearly address each step of the scientific method in your response. State your hypothesis, give relevant details on how you would design the experiments, what data are to be gathered, how the results will be analyzed, and what the conclusion would be based on your anticipated results. You may want to review the Scientific Tutorial and "The Pocket Guide to the Scientific Method" (both found in the Course Content - Week 1 area) before you begin this assignment.

Review and respond to at least three of your classmates' posts providing feedback on their use of the scientific method. Did they follow all of the steps? Did they include controls? How could they improve upon their experiment?
