Can any one help me on the correct way of calculate the precision and recall values to evalute the results of a search engine?

I'm working on a project to evaluate the the search engines using precision and recall, 7-10 queries , and 10 results each query will consider.

So, how can I calculte that , is calculated for each query , or i collect all the results and calculate the precision for all and the recall for all results queries??
