Question: EMPIRICISM. It is important for you to develop the ability to recognize whether claims are empirical and to distinguish between empirical and nonempirical support for a claim. Empirical claims are testable and support for them comes in the form of demonstrable evidence.

Go out on the web and find a product that claims to remedy some problem. Homeopathic remedies, weight-reduction aids etc. are good candidates and there are others. Be creative, but be selective. Hair-dye and makeup are not "remedies." Look for something whose efficacy is debatable. Then come back here and post the following: (SEE MY EXAMPLE BELOW)
