Question

A 58-year-old woman presents for a follow-up evaluation of overactive bladder (OAB). For the past 3 months, the patient has been working on reducing caffeine and alcohol intake. The patient reports doing pelvic floor exercises regularly. Since the last visit, the patient's weight is down 5 lb (2.25 kg). Despite these efforts, the patient reports continued bothersome urgency and incontinence a few times per week. The patient is interested in initiating drug therapy at this time. The patient's medical history includes obesity, hypertension, gastroesophageal reflux, narrow-angle glaucoma, and breast cancer in remission.
