Question

A 16 year old male is admitted for evaluation and control of his intractable seizures. during the inpatient encounter, the first two days recorded the seizures per video EEG. The recordings were consistent with and documented by the physician as epileptiform discahrges of right temporal lobe origin. The physician diagnosed partial complex epilepsy localized to the right temporal lobe. Dilantin and phenobarbital were prescribed and adjustments were made throughout the course of the patient's stay.
