The past several months the ICU nurses have complained to their Clinical Manager, Kourtland, about a persistent shortage of supplies needed to provide oral care for the ICU patients. The nurses were confused when Kourtland arranged for the SPD (Supply, Production, and Distribution) supervisor, and his team, to attend an in-service: "The role of oral care in preventing VAP (ventilator associated pneumonia) in mechanically ventilated ICU Patients".Discussion Questions:
