The Scenario 

You are a Sales Manager that oversees the work of 10 salespeople. All employees are eligible for a merit bonus based on their performance over the year. You have been allocated $10,000 to reward these employees with bonuses, at your discretion.

Your Task:

  1. Design a graphic rating scale as your performance appraisal method for evaluating the performance of your sales team. Make sure you include FIVE performance factors / indicators and a numerical scale upon which to rate the level of performance present for each indicator. (You are not actually evaluating the performance of the salespeople - just creating a graphic rating scale that could be used to appraise their performance)
  2.  Then, explain how you would use your graphic rating scale to link their performance with pay (i.e. who will get what of the $10,000 merit bonus money?)
