Instructions

One of the biggest challenges for critical thinkers is to evaluate websites and decide which are credible and which are not. Use the "Website Checklist" on pages 209-210 to evaluate websites so that you base your arguments and decision on reliable information.

Choose one website to evaluate. How many of the points listed can you answer yes to in relation to that site? The more times you answer Yes, the more likely the page is of high quality.

After completing the "Website Checklist," write a summary of the credibility of your chosen website. Be sure to address each category (authority, purpose, coverage, currency, objectivity, and accuracy). Which categories did the website score well? Which categories were poor? Would you recommend this website to another person?
