Final Internship Report Requirements

The final report describes and evaluates the entire internship experience. It provides the student an opportunity to reflect upon their experience and how they have grown as a professional.

The final report should include the following information:

• Student Accomplishments

o Detailed summary of duties and responsibilities achieved throughout the semester

o Describe a significant experience that changed how you view the industry or internship experience.

• Self Analysis

o Reflect on your experience and areas where you experienced professional/personal growth and where you feel you could improve upon in the following areas.

This should incorporate items from the Professional Development Personal Assessment to evaluate your growth in a detailed narrative for each category.

Communication Skills

Ethics/Decision Making Skills

Business Knowledge

Self-Management/Managerial Skills

Critical Thinking Skills

• Conclusions and Recommendations

o A discussion of future career interests and needs, settings that best match your personality, types of leadership styles that best match you.

o A discussion of courses, books, workshops, etc. that you feel would have benefited your professional development and internship experience.

o Recommendations of the agency and the university
