Question

Matteo is a second-grade student who is currently being evaluated for special education services. Ms. Waterloo has noticed during both the formal assessments, as well as during observations, that Matteo takes longer than the other students in his class to complete the daily math facts worksheet and frequently mistakes the mathematical symbols. Ms. Waterloo wants to design an intervention to support Matteo in his mathematical skills. Over the course of one week, Ms. Waterloo collected daily data from Matteo's math facts worksheet. Each worksheet included ten math problems, five addition problems, and five subtraction problems. The data she collected is in the chart below. Identify one (1) evidence-based practice/intervention that would be appropriate for the student need(s) identified above. Discuss what the intervention is, why you chose it, and any other relevant information that proves it should be an EBP for the case study, Be sure to include citations and references to support the use of each of your chosen EBP's.
