With the engines off, a spaceship is coasting at a velocity of+220 m/s through outer space. The ship carries rockets thatare mounted in friing tubes, the back ends of which areclosed. It fires a rocket straight ahead at an enemyvessel. The mass of the rocket is 1350 kg, and the mass ofthe spaceship (not including th rocket) is 3.0 x 10^6 kg. Thefiring of the rocket brings the spaceship to a halt. What is the velocity of the rocket?
