Four moles of an ideal gas under 10 bar of pressure at T=300k is allowed to expand from 2liter to 8liter by decreasing the pressure to 1 bar.

a- calculate the work if the process is carried out reversibly and isothermally

b- calculate the work if the gas is now re-compressed to 2liter by reapplying the 8bar of pressure. assume that the process is carried out reversibly and isothermally

c- calculate the work if the gas is now re compressed to 2liter by reapplying the 8 bar of pressure but it is done irreversibly

d- how are your answers to a and b related?
