The coefficient of thermal expansion Alpha = (1/V)(dV/dT)p. Utilizing the equation of state, evaluate the value of Alpha for an ideal gas. The coefficient of compressibility Beta is describe by Beta = -(1/V)(dV/dp)T. Evaluate the value of Beta for an ideal gas. For an ideal gas, express the derivative (dp/dT)v in terms of alpha as well as Beta. Do the same derivative for van der Waals gas.
