Cost of proposed production equipment: $720,000. Manufacturing overhead and selling & admin costs are paid as incurred. Desired ending cash balance: $30,000.
Using the data presented above, do the following: Compute the unit contribution margin and the contribution margin ratio.
Journal entries for received balance due on the sale on account. Sold Merchandise Inventory for $123,340 cash. No shipping charges were incurred related to the sale.
Show the likelihood of these payments being treated as constructive dividends. If a payment is deemed to be a constructive dividend, show how such a payment will be treated.
