Each student will be working individually to evaluate the target countries from the viewpoint of health, education and international trade.
Part 1: Each student will look for recognized (separate) indicators for health and education. She/he will define them and explain why they are considered appropriate measures. Then the student will provide the last available data for each of these measures. Finally, the student will explain why knowing the country's education level and health situation would be important for investment decisions.
Part 2: The student will analyze the trade balance of the target countries. The balance of trade is calculated by subtracting the value of imports of goods and services from the value of exports of goods and services for a certain period of time. For the last seven years of available data, the student will plot on the same diagram (using MS Excel) exports and imports. She/he will describe the evolution of the trade balance and provide an economic explanation of the observations made. Please use APA guidelines. References and citations are a must.
