Question: Using the 7 step process for developing a supplier evaluation and selection survey, compare three suppliers of a product/service that you are familiar with (for example an online store where you purchase or have purchased products, local stores where you may shop, or an example of three suppliers for similar products where you work). In MS Excel, create a supplier evaluation survey similar to the one in Exhibit 7.7 with categories, sub-categories, and weights for each one based upon what you consider important in making a decision to purchase from a supplier. Using your evaluation form, rate each of the suppliers for the product/service based upon your observations. Provide your evaluation sheet and your scores in a format like the one presented in Exhibit 7.7. Evaluate the results and make a determination of which supplier you would select and why.
