Case Problem 2

A retail chain sent out a "Buy More Save More" coupon to each of the customers who own a loyalty card in its 61 stores. The objective was to get these customers to redeem the coupon and buy at least 2 items from the stores. Results of this promotional campaign were recorded in the BUSI1013-Case Question 2.xls file.

1. Evaluate the following probabilities:

a. The probability of customers redeemed the coupon and purchased at least 2 items in each of the three regions.
b. The probability of customers who redeemed a coupon.
c. The probability of customers purchased at least 2 items.
d. The probability of customers purchased at least 2 items if they redeemed the coupon.

2. Based on the above, provide a ranking of the stores in each region.

3. State the criteria you used to rank the stores and your rationale for the choice.
