Assignment -
Requirements - Assignment will be based on analysis of power consumption of wireless sensor network (WSN) using cluster-based routing protocol which is Low-energy adaptive clustering hierarchy (LEACH) and Threshold-sensitive energy efficient sensor network (TEEN) protocol. I will be using a centralized setup with 4 cluster heads to form the network. The monitor of precision agriculture is the main concept in my work. The centralized WSN setup comprises set of sensor nodes and a base station that communicate with each other and assemble local data to make global decisions about the physical environment and also will collect all data that has been forward from the sensor nodes. Each cluster head or quadrant will be assigned a random temperature between 0°F to 200°F every 5 seconds during simulations. I'm looking for the most suitable cluster-based routing protocol in term of low power consumption for this scenario.
Objectives / REQUIREMENTS -
To simulate Wireless Sensor Network with clustering technique using NS3.
To evaluate the power consumption on WSN and compare using cluster-based routing protocol (LEACH and TEEN) with following scenario
- Use a centralized setup for both protocols to form a network and simulate the WSN with the parameters of 50m range, 60 nodes, and 4 cluster heads.
Approach to develop an energy-efficient routing algorithms.
To analyse the outputs which is the power consumption, queue overflows and throughput with two different protocols (LEACH and TEEN).
To collect and extract the results in graph format. ( outputs) *** power consumption, queue overflows and throughput
Based on the simulation which protocol use less power consumption.
Tools should be used: NS3 Version 3.27.
Ubuntu: Latest UBUNTU Version.
Need:
- Project along with (TCL , TK , OTCL C++ , GRAPH)
- Screenshots , video file , Read me file , Installation Procedure , Execution Procedure
- Design the network based on the Objectives & requirements returned
- Little explanation on the coding part...
Scenario - For my project, I simulate an environment which applied precision agriculture concept with a centralized setup with varying temperature in a same region. First of all, the T nodes positioned casually in an area of 50m × 50m. Exact area covered by the network is then separated into four section. Then, each of the sections will be allocated with a casual temperature between 0oF to 200oF every 5 seconds throughout the simulations. The simulation will be run on a network of 60 nodes and a fixed base station. All the nodes will be randomly positioned, and the starting with an initial power of 2 Joules.
