The requirements of the assignment are as follows: Students taking the module will be required to form assignment groups. Students will be informed about the size of each group (i.e. the number of students that will be in each group) in the lecture, and the number of groups that will be formed, during the lecture/seminar on Friday, 23rd. Individual assignment is not allowed. Students will need to submit the list of their group members to seminar tutor by 5pm 23. Each group must keep a record of its meetings and, especially, the contribution of each member to ALL the work that is done on the assignment, regardless of whether the work is included in the final assignment that is submitted or not. The record of the meetings and contributions of members of the group must be signed by all members of the group and attached to the assignment as an appendix.

At the end of the assignment, each group member will complete a CONFIDENTIAL PEER REVIEW FORM (attached herewith) about the contribution that they think that each of the other members of the group has made to the assignment. Each group member will be asked to award a mark between 0 (for no contribution) and 10 (for maximum contribution) to each of the other members of the group. The mark awarded to each of the other members of the group will be used as a basis to allocate the assignment mark to the members of the group. If there is a dispute among members of a group on any issue relating to the assignment which members of the group are unable to resolve by themselves, any member of the group should report the dispute to Dr. Thomas Kuo so that action can be taken to resolve it as quickly as possible.

The School policy will be followed on all other aspects of the administration of the group assignment that are not covered in paragraphs (1) - (5) above. Some other requirements of the assignment are as follows: the assignment should contain between 2,500 – 3,000 words. Some marks will be deducted if your assignment is below, or over, the word limit; the assignment must include a title page with the name of the organisation used for the essay, the ID numbers only of all members of the group on it, a table of contents and a bibliography which includes full reference for all publications, articles and books that are cited in the assignment; the assignment must also include a signed cover sheet confirming that all members of the group have read and understood the regulations on cheating and acknowledged the work of others.

A copy of the cover sheet is attached herewith; one word-processed (or typed) copy of the assignment must be submitted to your Programme Administrator, Mr. Lee Evans, in the MSc Programme Office in Alan Walters Building before 12 noon on Wednesday, 25. Each group must upload an electronic copy of their assignment onto CANVAS before submitting a hard copy of it to Lee. Each group will be required to show a receipt to prove that an electronic copy of their assignment has been uploaded onto CANVAS before a hard copy of it will be accepted from them in the MSc Programme Office. Each group will get a receipt when they upload the electronic copy of their assignment onto CANVAS as well as when they submit a hard copy of their assignment to Lee in the MSc Programme Office; in order to comply with the regulations on anonymity, please state only your ID numbers on your assignment, but do not state your name(s);

Keep a duplicate copy of your assignment at all times, in case one copy is lost or infected by a computer virus. No extension will be granted on the grounds that the memory stick or PC / laptop / tablet containing your assignment is lost or infected by a computer virus; You should submit your work a bit earlier than the deadline stated above to avoid any problems with our computer network which may prevent you from meeting the deadline. Five marks will be deducted for each day of lateness, unless permission for late submission is granted before the deadline by Dr. Thomas Kuo.
