The absorbance at 520nm is found to be 0.700. Claculate the percentage of manganese in the steel if the molar absorptivity of permanganate is 2235L/cm mol at this wavelength? The cell path length is 1.00cm.

B. A compound of molar mass 1.00E2 g/mol has a molar absorptivity of 3.0E5L/cm mol. How many grams of this compound should be dissolved in 1.00L so that in a 250 fold dilution the resulting solution will give an absorbance reading of 0.600? Assume the cell path to be 1.00cm.
