Typically, the main goal of an exit interview is to evaluate the overall employee work experience within the organization and pinpoint opportunities to improve retention and engagement. In my organization as a manager, I personally contact each employee that is departing my organization with a goal of allowing the employee an opportunity to share the good, the bad and the ugly in order to help me take a step back to analyze the organization, leaders, and supervisor to consider any areas for enhancement or improvement.
