Section 1 - (Recommended word count: 500 words)
1. The business report should have a brief introduction to the organisation (HSBC bank Plc) including mission statement, and core business objectives.
2. Assess the importance of workforce planning to the goals of the organisation, and consider the role strategic HRM plays when considering resourcing needs for a global business.
3. Evaluate, using specific examples, the strengths and weaknesses of different approaches to recruitment and selection.
Section 2 - (Recommended word count: 1000 words)
1. Explain the benefits and limitations of two of the following HRM practices for HSBC and the employee (you must provide examples):
Learning, development and training,
Job and workplace design,
Performance management
Reward management within the chosen organisation (HSBC Bank Plc) for both the employer and the employee.
2. Evaluate how relevant HRM is to organisational efficiency, effectiveness and profitability.
Section 3 - (Recommended word count: 800 words)
1. Critically analyse the importance of employee relations with respect to influencing HRM decision making.
2. Evaluate the key elements of employment legislation and the impact it has on HRM decision-making. (Ensure that you discuss the impact of at least two UK employment legislations such as anti-discrimination, equality and diversity, data protection, GDPR, health and safety or any legislation related to the workplace)
3. Illustrate the application of HRM practices, and provide a rationale for its application in the organisation. Design the following documents: one job advertisement, with a job description and person specification, a sample interview questionnaire, and an appointment letter. (you may consider the use of appendices for the documentation)
