Situation I:
Ms. Daisy Franco began teaching work for the Catholic University on August 1, 1989, signing an annual service contract each year. Said contract required observing conduct in accordance with the values ??and ethical standards of the Catholic Church. Professor Franco performed her duties efficiently for eleven years. However, on November 24, 2000, Franco was informed that her contract would not be renewed. The reason for her dismissal was that the university authorities determined that the professor was in a canonically irregular situation for having married a person, previously married by the Catholic Church, whose first marriage had not been declared void.
Was some kind of discrimination against Professor Franco set up by the Catholic University?
Situation II:
A security guard company establishes as a job requirement that a person must be at least 5'8 "tall.
Is this measure discriminatory?
Situation III:
A dark-skinned person is fired from her job for questioning a directive from her supervisor. Previously, three light-skinned people had questioned the same directive with her supervisor and the action taken by the company had been to be reprimanded.
Can the employer's action be considered discriminatory?
