A sample of 10.1 g ammonium nitrate, NH4NO3, was dissolved in 125.0 g of water in a coffee-cup calorimeter. The temperature changed from 24.5 deg C to 18.8 deg C. Calculate the heat of solution (i.e., delta H of solution)of ammonium nitrate in kJ/mol. Assume that the energy exchange involved only the solution and that the specific heat of the solution is 4.18 J/g. deg. C. Show work or include as much explanation as needed for this calculation.
