In anticipation of your success, you have gained employment from mid-December in a medium- sized New Zealand company. The position requires you to introduce processes for raising the company’s productivity through applying principles of QM.
Your employer has requested that you conduct a comprehensive audit of the quality management policies and practices. Your employer expects your audit to:
• Describe and evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the current QM system.
• Assess the current, transition, and final “total costs of quality” for the enterprise.
• Identify and prioritise opportunities and recommendations for improving the QM system that you could assist the company to implement.
• Identify appropriate quality tools for the organization.
Your mission
Write a Formal Technical Report that demonstrates comprehensive, documented evidence that you are competent to lead a programme to improve the enterprise’s productivity through applying the principles of Quality Management.
Choice of company
If you are employed in a workplace, you are invited to suggest to your manager that you conduct this assignment investigation as a pilot project in some small aspect of the company’s operations. Special conditions may apply regarding confidentiality, risk management, and safety.
