A solution containing 25.3 mol% benzene and 74.7 mol% toluene boils at 100°C. If the vapor is collected and condensed back to liquid the liquid is found to boil at 94.8°C. The vapor pressure of pure benzene is 1357 torr at 100°C and 1108 torr at 94.8°C. Assume that the vapors and solutions are ideal. Calculate the composition (mol% each component) of the condensed liquid. What is the vapor pressure of pure toluene at 94.8°C?
