To help finalize your plan, you schedule a meeting with a core group of managers. The purpose of the meeting is to review the strategic plan and to gather additional feedback from the managers. During the meeting, you realize that there may be some organizational culture issues that is impacting performance. There were reported issues of patient safety, dissatisfied employees, and questionable ethical practices. You decide to include a review of organizational leadership. Furthermore, a personal leadership plan to examine how you can provide better leadership in your role.
Personal leadership is the way in which you determine how your individual skills and preferences play a role in how you lead. The goal of a personal leadership plan is to develop a plan to improve your leadership skills and to learn more about how you express yourself, particularly about leadership. It is important to learn how your personal characteristics and traits can help in developing your leadership skills and in understanding your views on leadership in your future career.
1. Compile a summary to evaluate the roles and responsibilities of organizational leaders and departments involved in ensuring quality, safety, and compliance within an organization. Explain the importance of organizational leadership and impact on organizational performance. Use the Norwood case to provide specific examples. Refer to the challenges and SWOT, performance measures, strategic outlook, and quality improvement recommendation.
2. Think about your personal beliefs and values to create a personal vision. Your vision should be short, yet inspiring. What would you want to create for yourself and those around you, as a leader? What type of leader would you like to be in the future? What goals would you like to accomplish as a leader? Then, use the link below to help you determine your leadership style. Summarize the results and assess managerial strengths. Describe the connection between your vision and leadership style.

3. We have all heard the many slogans that come with teamwork. Some examples are: TEAM (Together Everyone Achieves More) and "There is no ''I'' in team." Come up with your own slogan and align it to your personal leadership assessment. Discuss why you feel this is the best slogan to represent your idea. Then, create a professional development plan to include both short-term and long-term development goals. Use what you've learned throughout the course, as well as from your personal leadership assessment.
