1. For this activity, you will need to establish, implement, maintain and evaluate one WHSMS in place within an area of your organisation.

This must include:

• Locating current WHS policies that define the organisation's commitment to complying with WHS laws
• Identifying duty holders and defining WHS responsibilities for all workplace personnel
• Identifying and approving financial and human resources for the WHSMS 
• Working with required personnel
• Resolving any issues or discrepancies
• Providing information about your WHSMS to the relevant personnel 
• Developing procedures for ongoing hazard identification, including assessing and controlling risks using the hierarchy of control measures
• Identifying requirements for expert WHS advice
• Developing and providing WHS induction and training program for your WHSMS
• Using a system for WHS recordkeeping to identify patterns of occupational injury and disease
• Measuring and evaluating your WHSMS 
• Developing and implementing improvements
• Ensuring compliance with any relevant legal requirements. 

As evidence of completion, you should produce a diary which logs your performance over the decided period of time.  Each diary entry should provide a description of the scenario, and any action you have taken to complete the task, clearly specifying which task you are referring to. You should also include a date for each diary entry and a signed observation where applicable from the relevant personnel.
