Assessment - Essay

Learning Outcome 1: Apply critical understanding of strategic processes, theories and frameworks.

Learning Outcome 2: Recognize internal capabilities, organisational structures, resources and business modelling including CSR, sustainability, governance, ethics and accountability in relation to the organisations strategic approach to value creation.

Learning Outcome 3: Evaluate key strategic business choices in the organisation.

Task

Choose an organisation that is listed international or national company/organisation for which there is available data and material online (open and free to use) and approach your report based on the 3 requirements below:

Part 1: critically analyse the internal capabilities (resources, organisational structures, and business modelling including where relevant your social responsibly / CSR, approach to sustainability, governance structures and accountability) and external environment, in relation to the organisation's strategic approach to value creation.

Part 2: of the report should devise strategic choices moving forward.

Part 3: should evaluate those key strategic choices (including references to financials) within the organisation based on key theories and frameworks.

Ensure that your report has Introduction that outlines the scope of the assessment, main body analysis divided with the above 3 parts, Conclusion and Recommendation section at the end of the report in summarizing the key points of the report as well as suggest new ways of action for the organization in the form of recommendations.

Hints and Tips

Make sure that you use formal academic language. Avoid slang and use third person (i.e. avoid ‘I' or ‘We')
Avoid long quotations from books or journal papers. You need to write the essay in your own words.

Provide a reference section that is formatted in Harvard style.
