Working Lives (occupations, economic considerations, social class, wealth vs. poverty, etc.)
In your paper, discuss how your chosen theme is explored in at least two works from different writers read during the course and in at least one non-literary work (e.g., painting, sculpture, mixed media, music, dance, film, graphic novel, etc.; you may choose a non-literary work of your own that was not discussed in the course). You must integrate a minimum of three scholarly sources into your discussion.
In your paper,
A. Analyze how a trending, universal theme is explored in at least two literary works of at least two different writers.
B. Analyze how a trending, universal theme is explored in at least one non-literary work.
C. Evaluate how theme and text are influenced by historical, sociopolitical, and cultural contexts, including cultural norms and values.
D. Explain how genre and literary conventions convey meaning, significance, and theme.
E. Examine the interdisciplinary connections between literary texts and other arts forms that illuminate cultural values, shared history, and identity.
F. Assess how literary and non-literary texts shape and are shaped by the traditions, archetypes, and individual identities of diverse human cultures.
