Leadership and Quality Improvement
Introduction
This module will explore and evaluate healthcare leadership considering the theories and frameworks underpinning healthcare leadership and innovative approaches that are required in services that are often under pressure and in some cases, under resourced. This module will equip students with the knowledge and understanding to become effective healthcare leaders who can enhance the quality-of-service provision. This module will consider the theories and concepts of leadership and quality improvement within clinical practice and the policy drivers that support leaders to make improvements.
Learning outcome 1: Critically appraise leadership theories and their influences on health service provision.
