Reference no: EM133731290
Assignment:
You are the provider
1. Evaluate drug treatment plans for patients
2. Justify drug therapy plans based on patient history and diagnosis- You have to address the entire patient profile( i.e. if a patient has a toxicity or adverse reaction). How do you resolve it? If the patient has a disease state that is not being treated i.e. Diabetes, then treat it. Refer to current guidelines to start treatment.
3. Use clinical practice guidelines to develop your answers whenever possible. Always reference the current guidelines
4. Cited sources- I do review the articles- Make sure that your articles apply to the patient and the case i.e. do not use literature that tests in animals. Do not use literature that evaluates a medication in a specific disease state that your patient does not present with.
5. Use at least 3 resources per case.
6. Please do not address the pathophysiology. Do not give me the mechanism of action This makes the paper lengthy and is not needed. Focus on the Drug therapy plan and address the questions from the case.
7. Select appropriate medications- not medications used in other countries or medications that are not commonly prescribed.
8. Last, but not least. Do not refer to " the prescriber should". You are the prescriber. Make a decision. "May and/or could be" is not a decision and you will not get the desired grade outcome if you "play it safe" and do not make a decision on the drug therapy.
