Assignment Brief and Guidance

Your employer, a general contractor undergoes different scales of projects and you are working in the Design Unit in that company. While you are working there, you have also been temporary appointed in the Training and development Unit.

As well as, your employer has been commissioned to design and build a four-storey framed office building in an urban area. The building consists of office rooms, meeting rooms, and other required facilities. The design team has prepared a set of outline design drawings which provide general information about the proposed building, site and form.

Task 01

You have been given the responsibility to prepare a summarized report on different types of construction information in the context of diverse projects of your employer as guidance to the trainees who were recruited recently.

Task 02

You have been appointed to prepare an initial conceptual design and draft implementation report. A set of General Arrangement Drawings, Details, Door and Window Schedules, Outline Bill of Quantities and Schedule of Works for a specific item will be required to include in the set of construction information preparing by you.

As well as, you have been asked to submit a summary of your work and to deliver a 5 min presentation to justify the application of specific types of construction information selected for this project.
