Question

This whole class discussion is designed to test your ability to (1) construct arguments in argument standard form and (2) evaluate an argument using the two ways of evaluating arguments presented in this lesson. You will be asked to read a prompt, respond to that prompt by evaluating an argument, and respond to one of your classmates Initial Post craft an initial post to the discussion by completing the following: Find an argument. It can be drawn from social media (e.g. Twitter), the newspaper, an online article, or personal experience. Write the argument how it was originally presented. Next, put that argument into argument standard form . Evaluate the argument using the two objective ways of evaluating arguments presented in this lesson: (1) are the propositions true? (2) is the argument deductively valid (or inductively strong)? For each way of evaluating the argument, explain how you came to your conclusion. That is, explain how you know the propositions are true (or false) or how you know the argument is deductively valid (or invalid).
