2) Describe and present information from given data sets
3) Collate, structure and present information from given data sets
4) Write a report in fluent, accurate English observing the conventions of grammar, punctuation and spelling and referencing.
5) Evaluate and reflect on own performance

Assignment Task - individual Presentation

For this activity, you will need to conduct a literature review on ONE of the topics below then produce a Power Point presentation with your findings. You will need to use at least 5 literature sources and a reliable data source.

Topics to consider:

- The impact of an aging population on healthcare provision in the United Kingdom
- The trend of small and medium enterprises in the UK since 2009
- The prevalence of obesity in England since 2010
- The impact of Information technology (IT) on the healthcare sector.

The presentation should introduce your chosen research topic, review the literature, and explain the key methodology you would use in conducting your research on the given topic.

Suggested structure of the Individual Presentation is as follows:

1) Introduction to the Research Topic (1 slide recommended)
2) Background to the Problem (1 slides recommended)
3) Review of the literature ( 5 slides recommended)
4) Research methodology you would use (1-2 slides recommended)
5) References/Bibliography (1 slide)

Assessment Part 2

Report

Maximum Word Count: 2,000 words

Assignment Task - Individual Written Report

Building upon the case study used in the presentation slides in Part 1, students are required to produce a Written Report as an individual piece of research work (LO1, LO3, LO4, LO5).

Suggested structure of the Written Report is as follows:

1) Introduction to the Research Project (approx. 100 words)
2) Literature review (approx. 600 words)
3) Methodology (approx. 400 words)
4) Discussions on the data (approx. 300 words)
5) Findings (approx. 400 words)
6) Reflections on your own learning during research (200 words)
7) References/Bibliography
8) Appendices (include copy of the Individual Presentation)
