Industry organisations will also be invited to provide cases that the student can complete in a simulated on-campus environment.
The scope of the project must cover the various components taught on the programme including IT service management, computer network principles, design and implementation, information security, ICT project management and relevant industry standards.
The student must demonstrate competence in the knowledge, skills and attitude for achievement for the graduate profile outcomes through successful completion and oral defence of the capstone project. Scenario -
ABC Company connects more than 15,000 medical organisations across Australia and New Zealand and exchanges over 100 million clinical messages annually. ABC company Provides Referrals can be used by providers to refer patients to another provider. Providers include GPs, specialists, allied health and hospitals.
Finding a provider is easy - you can search by name, specialty or diagnosis to find the most suitable healthcare provider for a patient's specific needs.
With a single click, a comprehensive referral to that provider using patient information held in the electronic medical record system (EMR) can be created. This is done within a few seconds during the consultation and the referral is sent to the provider electronically via the company's secure network.
ABC Company is fully integrated into most common electronic medical record systems (EMRs) and a copy of the outgoing referral is saved into the patient record. However the Australia site is having a delay to upload referral documents and the New Zealand site is working fine.
Find a solution for this delay using IT service management, computer network principles, design and implementation, information security, ICT project management and relevant industry standards. Use GNS and packet tracer.
