Question: As our environment deteriorated, more reports concerning climate change emerged, alarming many scientists and residents and many variables contribute to this. Numerous people are unaware of the permafrost thawing; Permafrost thaw is the process of frozen ground thawing that has been frozen for two or more years. Microbes begin degrading permafrost when it thaws. This process emits greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere, such as carbon dioxide and methane. When permafrost thaws, archaic viruses and microorganisms in the ice and soil do as well. These newly unfrozen harmful bacteria have the potential to make humans and animals severely sick. According to NASA microbes more than 400,000 years old have been identified in thawed permafrost by scientists.

The purpose of this study is to educate students and the general public about the permafrost hazards and ways to prevent it. It is vital to evaluate and conduct research that ordinary individuals and students can comprehend so that they become aware and motivated to act.
