PRACTICAL ACTIVITY
Your task is to use the following documentation designed and developed in your written activity and implement it into your organisation:
- Learning strategy
- Communication plans
- Implementation plans
- Any policies and procedures developed
The first step in implementing the strategy is to communicate. This will involve:
1. Communicating all new policies and procedures to relevant people in the organisation. This may include:
a. Prospective learners
b. Trainers/facilitators
c. Any partners involved in the learning strategy
2. Sourcing all learning resources and equipment required for training in line with your strategy
3. Commencing training of staff members ensuring you gather feedback from learners and trainers post training.
The next step is to look at your assessments and policies and procedures. For this activity your will need to:
4. Validate all assessment methods and tools
5. Review your policies and procedures to ensure they are relevant and adequate for the task. Where they appear inadequate, update them to suit the requirements of the learning strategy.
6. Evaluate all outcomes of the training to ensure it meets the intended outcomes required form the strategic plan.
7. Develop policies and procedures that describe the methods used to liaise with:
a. Educators
b. Learners
c. Other stakeholders
d. These procedures will need to outline how you will gather information on the success or failure of organisational learning targets
8. You are also required to review learning and development strategy to ensure it incorporates any national policy and system changes.
a. Provide a method that can be used to ensure this activity is ongoing.
9. Modify your learning strategy to incorporate all the information you have gained from review. This should incorporate an improvement strategy for ongoing improvement in training in your workplace.
a. You will need to provide a copy of the modified strategy for your assessment
10. Complete a review of the resources you have used for training to ensure they met the organisational requirements
11. Complete a performance review of the trainers/educators used to ensure they met the standards expected
