Today we face an entirely new environment for innovation and getting things done. The days of the lone genius quietly toiling away in pursuit of that ‘Eureka’ moment to revolutionise an industry are all but over. We are now in the days of asking and listening to our customers and working with them in our innovation cycles.

Innovation demands collaboration. So does production.

Collaboration is working together to achieve a common goal either with two or more people or organizations. In today's global market, and the rise of telecommuting, our collaborative skills are learned through experience. Structured methods of collaboration encourage introspection of behavior and communication. These methods specifically aim to increase the success of teams as they engage in collaborative problem solving. This week, we wish to discuss collaboration as it exist in the workplace, along with the tools and skills to make collaboration successful.
