The idea behind ethical pluralism is that each one of the Four Ethical Lenses provides a useful perspective to help determine what particular action is ethical. Someone from the Rights/Responsibilities Lens might ask, "What are my rights and responsibilities?" Someone from the Results Lens might ask, "What are good results with consequences I'm willing to tolerate?" Someone from the Relationship Lens might ask, "What is fair so that power is balanced?" And, someone from the Reputation Lensmight ask, "What actions would set a good example?" As you reflect on the four foundational questions, which one is easier for you to answer when faced with a problem? Why? What would be the value (if any) of asking all four questions when you had an ethical dilemma before you chose a course of action?
