The shear stress of a Newtonian fluid can be estimated from a Couette flow experiment using the equationt=vµ/h. If the distance between the two plates ish= 10±0.1 mm, and the fluid viscosity isµ= 1.49±0.2 Pa.s. Estimate the shear stress if the top plate is moving with a velocity ofv= 20±0.2 cm/s. Also find the uncertainty in the estimate.
