1. A supersonic airflow changes direction 20- due to a sudden corner. If T1 ¼ 40-C, p1 ¼ 60 kPa absolute, and V1 ¼ 900 m=s, calculate M2, p2, and V2 assuming (a) a weak shock and (b) a strong shock.

2. An airflow at 25-C and 50 kPa absolute with a velocity of 900 m=s is turned by an abrupt 25- corner with a weak oblique shock. Estimate the pressure, velocity, and Mach number after the corner.
