The Earth can produce the downward electric field of 150 N/C around its surface. Assume this electric field is uniform through the atmosphere.

Estimate the net charge of the Earth.

The electric field at the height of 2.0 km from the surface of the Earth was measured 70 N/C. Estimate the volume charge density of atmosphere between that height to the ground.
