A grain dryer consists of a vertical cylindrical hopper through which hot air is blown. The air enters the base at 1.38 bar, 65 degree C, 50% RH. At the top, saturated air is discharged into the atmosphere at 1.035 bar, 60 degree C. Estimate the moisture picked up by 1 kg of dry air, and the total enthalpy change between the entering and leaving streams expressed per unit mass of dry air.
