The data is the time required for a computer algorithm to solve a special type of math problem known as a polynomial zero-one mathematical programming problem. Fifty-two random problems of this type were solved by the algorithm;the times to completion (CPU time in seconds) are listed in the data file

a) Estimate, with 95% confidence, the mean solution time for the algorithm. Interpret the result.

b) How many problems must be solved in order to estimate μ to within 0.25 seconds with 95% confidence?

c) Are there any outliers in the dataset? Use z-scores or box-plot to identify. If there are, what is the impact of including them in the analysis?

d) Suppose someone suggests that the average completion time (for the population) is 1.35 seconds (that is: μ = 1.35). Use your results to defend or refute.
