A 26 centimeter diameter vertical cylinder is sealed at the top by a frictionless 24 kilogram piston. The piston is 79 centimeter above the bottom when the gas temperature is 347oC. The air above the piston is at 1.92 atm pressure.

a) Estimate the gas pressure inside the cylinder?

b) Find what will the height of the piston be if the temperature is lowered to 12oC?
