A pile group consist of four piles in cohesive soil. Each pile's diameter is 0.4 m, and center to center spacing is 1.2 m. The ultimate capacity of each pile is 300 kN. Estimate the design capacity of the pile group, using a factor of safety of 2 and the criteria suggested by Coyle and Sulaiman.
