A proposed square footing 2 meters by 2 meters carrying a total load of 800 kN is to be constructed on a sand deposit. The depth of the footing will be 1 meter below the ground surface, and the unit weight of the sand is 17.5 kN/m^3. The modulus of elasticity of the sand was determined to be 10,000 kN/m^3 throughout. Using the Schmertmann's method, estimate the settlement of the footing four years after construction, using four 1 meter thick sublayers.
